◉ What if I do not receive continuing education?
If you do not complete the refresher training, you will receive the first ‘warning’ from the head of a local government in accordance with Article 4 of the Medical Administrative Disposition Rules <Attached Table 21>.
Even after receiving a warning, if you continue to fail to complete refresher training and commit a second violation, you will receive a 7-day suspension of qualification.
Continuing education for nursing assistants exempted/suspended/non-targeted
[Conditions for Exemption from Continuing Education]
① Students enrolled in universities or junior colleges majoring in nursing in accordance with Article 7, Subparagraph 1 of the Medical Act (including vocational colleges and nursing schools) for more than one semester
② New qualification holders who have been issued a license in the current year
③ A person who is recognized by the Minister of Health and Welfare as not necessary to receive refresher education
1) If you have received continuing education or graduate school education related to the license (qualification) in a foreign country
2) Those who gave birth while working, those who gave birth after leaving the company, those who left after giving birth,
3) Those who have served in the military for more than 6 months (general enlisted men and medical soldiers)
※ Occupational soldiers (workers with relevant qualifications) are subject to refresher education
[Conditions for postponement of continuing education]
① Those who are recognized by the Minister of Health and Welfare as having difficulties in continuing education due to their illness or other unavoidable reasons
– Those who are in the medical period and are receiving inpatient treatment
② Those who are not engaged in work related to the qualification in the relevant year
[Conditions for Exemption from Continuing Education]
– A person who has not engaged in nursing assistant qualification work for even one day in the relevant year (as of 2018)
